Finally Pieced!

It is a beautiful Saturday here in Indiana! We have had some horrific storms but the tornadoes stayed in the northern part of our county. I guess they didn't do much damage thank heaven, but it was very scarey none the less.
On a happy note I finished piecing my "Basket of Logs" quilt and am so excited about it. I have loved this quilt for a long, long time but was afraid to try it. I am so glad I did, I absolutely love it! I have no place to hang it to show the completed quilt right now but will when it is quilted.

The background in a "Fig Tree" fabric that is a beautiful buttery look but it just doesn't show up in the pix. I had fun with my scraps and used fabrics from Moda, Thimbleberries, and Jo Morton and many other kinds. Am slowly using up some bits and pieces.

This is the corner view of this beautiful border. It's a great way to increase the size of a quilt along with using up scraps. I will be using this border on other quilts in the future. :D

  1. Very pretty quilt! Log Cabin is one of my favorite patterns...for over 30 years! You really spruced up the design with your choice of fabrics!

  2. How beautiful! I love basket quilts and I especially like the fabrics you chose. We've finally gotten some rain here in Arkansas...I was afraid I was going to lose my azaleas, again. :( blessings, marlene
